Chile

Finally got the report from Chile published.

Good excuse for this holiday trip was Marjo's and Luis' wedding. Luis is a friend of mine originally from the uni but nowadays he's also a colleague at Outotec, plays in the same football team and has lot of common friends. Many of them were also attending the wedding.

The first stop of our trip was Valparaiso as the ceremony was held in a winery not far from there.

Backyard of our hostel (Caracol). This place was just perfect, cozy and the service was very friendly. If you happen to look for a place to stay in Valparaiso this is the one.

Exploring the new continent.

Everyone has arrived.

Valparaiso is not exactly designed for prams...

Munkka crew is ready to hit the party...

... which took place in a lovely winery, Casas del Bosque, in Casablanca valley.

Guests and a guest star

People congratulating the newly weds and their parents.

People are getting in to the party mode. No more public footage available after this.

For the Europian quests Marjo and Luis had kindly organised a few day trip to Puerto Varas in the south of Chile. We left Valparaiso early in Monday morning when still many of us were recovering from the huge party.

One of the many nice dinners.

This part of Chile is ideal for many outdoor activities such as horseback riding, river rafting etc. As Iines is not into that kind of stuff yet we often did our own thing during the day. One day we rented a car and had a bit of a road trip around the area.

Snowy volcano, black and white.

Iines and her trusty companion.

We also found some random fishing village.

Before going home we of course checked out Santiago.

It's holidays so we'll enjoy some ice cream for lunch.

One of the biggest names in Chilean history.

Our serious traveller.

Afternoon sun in the park. The weather in Santiago was quite different from what it was in the south.

Taking the elevator/train to Cerro San Cristobal.

Posing on top.
