Summer Holidays 3 - Rantakinnas

I'm already back at the office so now it's good time to upload some photos from the last week of our road trip which we spent in Rantakinnas, Tiili's summer place near Mikkeli. Mami and Ukki had gone to Savonlinna Opera Festival for few days once we arrived. Instead we got company from Kajaani/Beijing/Sydney as our dear friends Heidi and Marko stopped over on their way to Helsinki. We spent the night chatting, barbecuing and having sauna. It think we were way pass the darkest point of night when going to bed!

Later on the week Mami and Ukki returned from their road trip and we spent nice extended weekend with the family. The activities were really traditional "landemeininkiä" such as fishing (we did actually get few pikes), sauna+swimming, picking mushrooms and of course eating pretty much non stop. Iines was all excited about the cows nearby as well as about Otso's old playpen which eased our life quite a bit. The surroundings of the house are stony and there are heaps of ants allover the place. The ones that bite, kusiaiset.

And finally it's perhaps worth mentioning that Iines started walking 22 July!
